An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain teabowl and saucer, hand painted with a landscape sceen with a man having issues with his umbrella.

This early and very rare pattern dates to c1761-63. Examples of this pattern are usally not as nicely painted as this example, See Goss 2:410 for another example.

The Teabowl measures 7.1cm in diameter and stands 4.5cm tall. Five nibbles and a 2mm hairline crack to the rim. The nibbles are almost invisible by eye and need to be felt.

The Saucer measures 11.7cm in diameter. 19mm hairline to the rim. No other damage or any restoration.

Workmans mark to the inside of the foot of the teabowl, the saucer is unmarked.
