An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain saucer, hand painted with the Sunflower pattern c1765-70.
The saucer measures 12.3cm in diameter.
It is in great display condition without cracks or restoration. There is a fine 3cm crack running from the rim.
Marked to the inside of the foot on both sides. I have never seen a double workman’s mark on Lowestoft porcelain. Could this be a date for 1769 which would fit for the pattern? However, all other known dated pieces are dated with the century to. Interesting whichever the reason for it.
