Rare Longbridge and House Pattern Breakfast Sized Teacup and Saucer c1770-80

A rare Lowestoft teacup and matching saucer, hand painted with a Longbridge and House pattern c1770-80.

The Teacup measures 10.4cm in diameter including the handle and stands 4.8cm tall.

The Saucer measures 13.4cm in diameter.

Both parts are in excellent condition

Teacup unmarked, crescent mark to the foot of the saucer.

For an example within the Norwich Castle museum’s Collection

Teacups or handled teabowls are very rare in Lowestoft porcelain. The above example is the only one within the Norwich castle Museum. There are no examples with the V and A museum.
