An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain teabowl and saucer hand painted with a pattern know by Lowestoft collectors as the Queen Charlotte c1775-80.
The Teabowl measures 7.9cm in diameter and stands 4.2cm tall. It is in excellent display condition without chips or restoration. There is a 3.7cm hairline crack running from the rim. This doesn’t detract when on display as it is well hidden by the pattern (see last picture of teabowl).
The Saucer measures 11.9cm in diameter. It is also in excellent display condition without chips or restoration. There are two tiny hairline cracks to the rim, the longest being 3mm. There are stilt marks to the rim from manufacture.
Both parts are unmarked.
This Pattern can be found on page 193 of British blue and white porcelain by Steven Goss, listed as Rare. You can buy this book here Buy British Blue and White Saucers NOW
