An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain coffee cup, hand painted with coloured enamels with a Mandarin pattern c1780-85.
The cup measures 8.6cm in diameter including the handle and stands 6.2cm tall.
It is in wonderful display condition without cracks or restoration. There is a 1mm shallow chip to the rim (above the right branch of the tree). There is a glazed chip to the foot and a burst bubble to the rim (above handle), both from manufacture. The enamel decoration is very bright and clear with little wear.
Unmarked.
