Lowestoft Mandarin Teapot and Cover c1768-70 Ex Barbara Leake Collection

A very rare early Lowestoft porcelain teapot and cover, decorated in a Mandarin pattern c1768-70.

It measures 20.3cm in diameter including the spout and handle, and 14cm tall including the flower finial.

Tiny chip to flower finial. No other damage or restoration.

The low domed cover and flower finial are features of the earliest of the Lowestoft teapots which bear this distinctive curved spout
