Gardener Pattern Large Mug, C1765-70.

A Worcester mug, hand painted with the uncommon Gardener pattern, C1765-70. This pattern is normally found blurred, where as although damaged this one is painted very well.

The Mug stands 15cm (5 7/8″) high and 14.3cm (5 5/8″) in diameter including the handle.

It displays very well, but has had the bottom broken away into four pieces and re stuck cleanly,without loss. There are no chips or over painting. The handle also has a slight crack to the top where it joins the body.

Marked with an open Crescent to the base.
