A Worcester porcelain Dr Wall period teapot and cover, transfer printed with the rare La Terre and Mother and Child patterns, C1775-85. Godden states that this pattern occurs in two versions, this is the rarer one.
The teapot measures 17.8cm (7″) in diameter including the spout and stands 14cm (5.5″) high with the cover in place.
The teapot displays as perfect but there is professional restoration to the tip of the spout and two chips to the cover. There is also a chip to the restoration of the spout.
Marked with a Hatched crescent.
When found this pattern is more common on Bowls, it is nice to see it on a teapot for a change.
