An early Worcester porcelain Dr Wall Period teabowl and saucer, hand painted in the Very Rare Weeping Willow pattern (I.D.22), C1754-56.
The teabowl measures 7.2cm (2 13/16″) in diameter and stands 4.4cm (1 11/16″) high. It is in excellent condition except for a flea bite chip to the rim. There is no other damage or restoration.
The saucer measures 12.1cm (4 6/8″) in diameter. It has no cracks or restoration but does have 4 chips and a flea bite to the rim. Most of the chips are hidden by the pattern, except for one at 9 O’clock.
Both parts are marked with workman’s marks to the bases. Both parts also have labels for the Thistle collection.
