A 1st period Worcester porcelain saucer, hand painted with a very rare floral pattern c1775.
There are only two saucers and a teabowl known in this very rare pattern. It was not known at the time of publication of Blue and White porcelain by Bryant French and Sandon. Although this saucer is ex Steven Goss Collection is was acquired after the publication of his book British Blue and White Porcelain Saucers so does not feature in it.
The saucer measures 12.5cm in diameter.
It is in excellent condition without damage or restoration.
Marked to the base with an open crescent mark.
