Very Rare Early Shell Shaped Pickle Dish c1751-53

A Very rare and early Worcester porcelain shell shaped pickle dish, hand painted in underglaze blue c1751-53.

This shape pickle dish is also know on Lunds Bristol porcelain. However the foot on this dish looks to confirm a Worcester origin.

The dish measures 7.5cm in diameter by 8.5cm tall.

Section of rim missing, flea bite chip to rim (see top reverse) and staining to paste.

Unmarked.
