A Vauxhall sparrow beak jug, hand decorated with a floral and insect pattern c1756-58.
The jug measures 7.4cm in diameter including the handle and stands 6.8cm tall.
It is in good condition with only a 16mm fine crack to the side of the beak. There is some staining to the paste, mainly to the inside of the handle.
A gilded rim is unusual on Vauxhall porcelain, suggesting this jug was outside decorated.
Unmarked.
Exhibited in the 2007 ECC exhibition.
