Turquoise and Gilt Pattern Coffee Cup and Saucer c1775

A Worcester soft paste porcelain fluted coffee cup and saucer decorated in a turquoise ground with gilded borders c1775.

The cup measures 8.8cm across including handle and stands 6.6cm tall. The saucer measures 13.8cm in diameter.

Excellent condition except for wear to the gilding from age and use. No chips, cracks or modern restoration.

The turquoise ground is one of the rarest coloured grounds to be used at Worcester in the 18th century.
