An Uncommon Worcester porcelain teapot and cover, hand painted with a Mandarin pattern c1770-75.
This style of pattern is known as Gentleman’s Mandarin. It features three wise men in a garden, with one seated and hiding a fan. The others are holding gifts.
The teapot measures 20.7cm in diameter including the handle and spout, and stands 15.5cm tall with the cover in place.
Excellent condition. Very slight wear to the onglaze pattern from age and usage.
Unmarked.
