An 18th Century Worcester fluted cream jug with moulded scroll handle. Hand painted in underglaze cobalt blue with the popular Prunus root pattern c1756-58.
This pattern continues to c1780 but later examples haven’t the finesse of early examples.
The jug measures 8.1cm in diameter including the handle and stands 9.2cm tall.
It is in excellent display condition with no cracks. There is a restored flat chip to the rim.
Marked with a Workman’s mark to the base.
