Peony Zig Zag Fence and Hollow Root Pattern Miniature Teapot and Cover c1775-80

A rare Lowestoft porcelain miniature teapot hand painted with a Chinese garden pattern c1775-80.

The teapot measures 14.7cm in diameter including the handle and the spout and stands 11.5cm tall with the cover in place.

Displays well with no chips or restoration. A forked crack runs from the spout, this looks to come from a firing flaw to the join of the spout.

Unmarked.

See the Simpson collection of Miniatures for other teapots of this size.
