A Liverpool Porcelain sparrow beak cream jug, C1770. This jug was probably made by the John Pennington factory, but I may be mistaken. The jug is transfer printed in underglaze blue with the Two Stag pattern.
The jug measures 8.5cm (3 11/32″) in diameter including the handle and stands 8.3cm (3 2/8″) high.
It displays well but has some overpainting to hide a crack which runs to the left of the spout, down and towards the handle. There is also a smaller finer crack which runs from the right of the jug and under the spout.
