A Liverpool porcelain teabowl, probably Seth Pennington but may be John. Hand painted in onglaze coloures with a mandarin man holding flowers pattern.
The teabowl measures 8.7cm (3 7/16″) in diameter and stands 4.6cm (1 13/16″) high.
It is in very good condition with no cracks or restoration, there is a blemish to the rim which I can’t decide if it’s from manufacture or a very shallow chip.
It is unmarked to the base but has an old collectors label suggesting Lowestoft manufacture, this isn’t the case.
