Natural Sprays Pattern Butter Tub Stand c.1770

An 18th century Lowestoft porcelain Butter Tub Stand of Oval form, printed in underglaze blue with a large rose and other flowers. Further small flower sprays to the rim enclosed in a single blue line. The stand has twig handles applied with flower and leaf terminals.

The stand measures 19.5 cm long including handles.

Condition is good with just a small rim chip and two fine hairlines, one from each rim towards the centre.
