Floral Pattern Pickle Dish c1765-70

A rare polychrome Bow pickle dish hand decorated with a floral pattern c1765-70.

It measures 11.2cm including the stalk and 11.3cm wide.

No chips, cracks or restoration. Wear to the onglaze enamels from age and usage, especially to the border.

Polychrome pickle dishes are rarer than their blue and white cousins, as the acid is thought to have affected the onglaze decoration.

Unmarked.
