An early Derby porcelain sparrow beak jug, hand painted with a Mandarin pattern containing two figures and cockerels in a garden, c1758-62.
The jug measures 8cm in diameter including the handle, and stands 8.2cm tall.
The Jug is in fair condition. There is a large chip to the rim (mostly to the inside) a 7.3cm curved crack runs from this. There is a firing crack to the side of the spout (from manufacture), this has been over painted at the factory. There are 10mm and 2mm chips to the foot.
