A rare Worcester porcelain small moulded sauceboat, hand painted in underglaze blue with the Prunus Fisherman pattern c1753-54.
It measures 14.5cm in length and stands 6.4cm tall at the lip.
Professionally restored break and filled staple holes. See Worcester porcelain 1751-91 By Branyan, French and Sandon pg 108 for this sauceboat before restoration. There are also two underglaze chips to the rim from manufacture.
Marked to the base with a workman’s mark.
