William Littler Castle Painter Frill Vase and Cover c1760

A Very Rare William Littler frill vase and cover c1760, hand decorated in onglaze colours by the castle painter.

I think this vase was made at Littler’s Longton hall factory but it has been suggested that the colours used are more likely West pans, however the shape is usually found on pieces made at Longton Hall.

The vase measures 13.cm in diameter at the widest point and stands 24cm tall.

Displays very well. Losses to flowers but no major damage or any restoration.
