An 18th century Lowestoft blue and white porcelain teapot and cover, hand painted with the Very rare Zig Zag Fence and Peony pattern c1762-65.
The teapot measures 16.4cm in diameter including the handle and spout and stands 11.5cm tall with the cover in place.
It has a hot water crack to the body which has been secured with staples. There is also a crack to the bottom handle terminal and a underglaze firing crack to the left of the top handle terminal
Marked to the base of the teapot with an 8 to the rim. There are also GB (Gilbert Bradley collection) marks to the base and inside the cover in green.
