An 18th century Scottish porcelain mug, made by William Littler in West Pans. The mug is hand painted in polychrome enamels with a floral pattern c1765-70.
It measures 9cm in diameter including the handle and stands 7.3cm tall.
It displays very well, but has a 2cm firing crack running from the rim this has been hidden with a leaf decoration to the outside and other faults from the manufacturing process. There is damage to the base, this doesn’t detract when on display.
Unmarked.
