Very Rare Weeping Willow Pattern Teapot c1754

A very rare Worcester porcelain teapot, hand painted in underglaze blue with the Weeping Willow pattern c1754.

This small teapot measures 14.5cm in diameter including the spout and handle, and stands just 7.6cm tall.

Condition is very good with professional restoration to the cover (Broken into two). The body of the teapot is excellent, without any damage or restoration.

Both the inside of the cover and the base of the handle are marked with workman’s marks indicating a pre-1760 date and in fact the handle shape and small size indicate a date of c1754.
