An extremely rare, small Vauxhall bottle vase of bulbous shape decorated in underglaze blue with a pattern of flower heads set in hexagonal reserves on a blue background. There is a double line border to the base of the pattern with a matching pattern border to the top of the pattern, repeated around the top of the neck.
The bottle stands just 10cm tall and measures 6cm across the widest section.
Condition is excellent with just a glaze crack above the pattern measuring 1.8cm no chips or restoration.
See Bonhams sale of the Lianne Richards Collection in April 2016 for a similar bottle with the same borders but decorated with a different floral pattern.
An example in the Victoria and Albert Museum decorated with figures
