Very Rare Unrecorded Cormorant and Flowering Vine Pattern Coffee Cup c1754-56

An unrecorded first period Worcester porcelain coffee cup, hand painted in underglaze blue, c1754-56.
This cup is decorated to one side with half of the Cormorant pattern (I.B.28), to the other side is a flowering vine rather than the usual Tobacco leaf pattern.

The cup measures 7.7cm in diameter including the handle and stands 5.7cm tall.

Excellent condition.

Marked with an incised line and workman’s mark to the base.

This cup is the cup on the left of the pair shown. The cup on the right is the Usual version of the Cormorant pattern and is being sold separately.
