Very Rare Samuel Spurgeon Birth Tablet 1789

A Very rare Lowestoft Birth Tablet, hand decorated with a landscape scene one side and S S 1789 to the other.

Samuel Spurgeon was born on the 22nd September 1789 to Samuel and Ann Spurgeon (Powles).

The Tablet measures 7cm in diameter.

Minor restoration to the rim.

From the collection of F A Crisp. Exhibited in the Bicentenary exhibition or 1957 held at Christchurch Mansions Ipswich.
