A very rare Richard Champion Bristol porcelain teapot and cover, hand painted with a Mandarin pattern c1776-80.
The teapot measures 20.8cm in diameter including the handle and spout and stands 16.2cm tall with the cover in place.
Professional restoration to the end of the spout and two chips to the rim of the cover.

Champion Bristol teapots are rare. There are not Mandarin decorated examples in the V&A Museums collection. These is an example with the same shaped handle, however its decorated with a floral pattern.
