A very rare and early Worcester porcelain small bowl, hand decorated in underglaze blue with the Promontory Pavilion pattern c1752-53.
The bowl measures 10.8cm in diameter and stands 5cm tall.
Excellent condition.

That bowl is illustrated by Branyan, French and Sandon, Worcester Blue and White Porcelain (1990), p 186. fig ID1. Two similar bowl were in the Watney Collection, part 3, lots 924-925.
