A very rare Lowestoft teabowl and saucer, hand painted with a mandarin pattern c1770-72.
The Teabowl measures 7.4cm in diameter and stands 4.2cm tall.
The Saucer measures 12.2cm in diameter.
A 2cm crack running from the rim of the teabowl, associated staining to the paste. Firing crack to the body of the saucer, this doesn’t go through to the face and can only be seen from the back. Wear to the pattern on both parts from age and usage.
