A very rare Lowestoft teacup and saucer, hand painted with the Immortelle pattern c1770-75.
The Teacup measures 10.1cm in diameter including the handle and stands 4.8cm tall.
The Saucer measures 13cm in diameter.
Both parts have minor cracks professionally restored. Chip to both the saucer and teacups foot.
Unmarked.
See British Blue and White porcelain saucers by Steven Goss. He shows both the Immortelle patterns used at Lowestoft. This is the rarer of the two. Teacups are very rare in Lowestoft porcelain.
