An Early Lowestoft teabowl and saucer, hand painted with a rare Pattern, which I’d like to call Windy Day because it looks like the man’s umbrella has been turned inside out. C1760.
The teabowl measures 7.5cm (2 15/16″) in diameter and stands 4.4cm (1 11/16″) high.
It was a small shallow chip to the inside of the rim. There is no other damage or restoration.
The saucer measures 11.5cm (4 1/2″) in diameter.
It displays well but has a chip to the right side of the rim, and a crack to the body (hidden by the pattern from the front).
Both parts are marked to the inside of the foot with a 14 mark.
