A Very rare Lowestoft porcelain small mug, and painted with cornflower sprays and initialled E R 1793.
Most probably made for Edmund Redgrave one of the members of the Redgrave family employed at the factory, to commemorate his marriage to Susanna Welton on the 13th of June 1793.
The Mug measures 9.6cm in diameter including the handle and stands 8cm tall.
Excellent condition.
Unmarked.
Provenance: Sold by Simon Spero in his 2001 exhibition, previously owned by E.R Holland and George Middleton. Also Ex Peter Sully and Eileen Pull collectors labels to the base.
