Very Rare Chelsea Two Phoenix Pattern Plate c1752-56

A very rare Chelsea plate, hand painted in underglaze blue with a two Phoenix pattern c1752-54, copied from a Japanese original.

The plate measures 22.6cm in diameter.

Displays very well. The plate has been broken into 6 pieces and repaired, there are also 5 filled chips to the rim. The plate has not been over sprayed to hide the breaks.

Marked to the base with a blue anchor mark.
