A fine Worcester porcelain sauceboat decorated in underglaze blue with, on one side The Triangular Platform pattern, whilst to the reverse is a scene showing a man in a boat fishing near an island c1754-56.
The sauceboat measures 19.2cm long by 7.5cm wide and stands 8.7cm tall.
Condition is excellent with just a tiny restored chip to the rim.
There is a typical workman’s mark of three lines to the bottom of the handle.
See BFS 1.B.19 where they point out the enormous variation in treatment of this pattern. The quality and sharpness of the the painting on this particular example is outstanding.
