Uncommon Fluted Fruit and Wreath Pattern Coffee Cup and Saucer c1778-88

A Caughley porcelain fluted coffee cup and saucer, transfer printed with the fruit and wreath pattern c1778-88. This pattern is commonly found but not usually on fluted shapes.

The Coffee Cup measures 8.5cm in diameter including the handle and stands 6.7cm tall. It displays very well but has had a section broken and re stuck. There is no other damage or restoration. Marked with a painted C mark.

The Saucer measures 12.8cm in diameter. In excellent condition without damage or restoration. Unmarked.
