An 18th century Lowestoft soft paste porcelain sparrow beak milk jug, transfer printed with the Two Dromedaries on a Raft pattern c1770-80. This pattern was used for around 10 years, however the shape of this handle suggests a date of c1772.
The jug measures 9.1cm in diameter including the handle and stands 9.9cm tall.
It is in good display condition without chips or restoration. There are two hairline cracks, one running from the rim (12mm) and another to the base of the beak (4cm).
The pattern can be found on page 191 of British blue and white porcelain saucers by Steven Goss. This is available to buy here Buy British Blue and White Saucers NOW
