Small Size Fence pattern Teapot and Cover with Uncommon Knifed Spout, C1765.

A Worcester porcelain Dr Wall period teapot and cover, transfer printed with the fence pattern, C1765. This pattern was in use C1765-85 but due to the size of this teapot and the shape of the spout I believe this one is an early example?

The teapot measures 16.4cm (6 7/16″) in diameter including the handle and spout, and stands 12.5cm (4 7/8″) high with the cover in place.

It is in excellent condition with only very minor chips to the tip of the spout and flower finial of the cover. There is no other damage or restoration.

Marked to the base with a Crescent mark.
