An 18th century Longton hall porcelain teabowl and saucer, hand painted with the Gatehouse pattern c1756-58.
The Teabowl measures 7.4cm in diameter and stands 4cm tall.
The Saucer measures 12cm in diameter.
Flea bite chip to the rim of the teabowl and 2 chips to the foot. Underglaze firing crack to the body within the foot of the saucer.
Saucer marked with a 4, teabowl is unmarked.
There is a teapot within the V&A’s Collection decorated in this pattern.
