A first period Worcester porcelain blue & white teapot hand painted with the Rock Strata Island pattern c1770-80.
The teapot measures 18cm in diameter including handle and spout and stands 13.3cm tall.
Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration.
The base is marked with a painted crescent.
See BFS Worcester Blue and White Porcelain 1.D.8 for a discussion on this pattern where it is noted that Caughley produced an identical pattern on their wares.
