A rare Richard Champions Bristol porcelain teapot and cover, hand painted with a Mandarin pattern c1770-80.
The teapot measures 19.6cm in diameter including the handle and spout, and stands 14.8cm tall with the cover in place.
The body of the teapot is in good condition, except for a firing crack to the top handle joint. The cover has been broken into two and professionally restored.
The body of the pot is marked with blue X mark.
A similar teapot was sold at Bonhams in 2016. The cover of this teapot is different to the cover sold at Bonhams, so although Bristol porcelain may be a match.
Part of the Olliver collection.
