Rare William Reid Pagoda and Man Fishing Pattern Milk Jug c1765-60

A rare William Reid Liverpool porcelain milk jug with barbed rim, hand painted in underglaze blue with a landscape pattern c1756-60.

The jug measures 8.3cm in diameter including the spout and handle, and stands 7.8cm tall at the top of the handle.

Displays very well with professional restoration to the spout. There is no other damage or other restoration.

Unmarked.

See pg 54 of Liverpool Porcelain by Maurice Hillis for an example of this shaped jug, although decorated with a different landscape pattern.
