Rare Very Small Pinecone Pattern Pierced Basket c1765

A rare Worcester porcelain pierced basket of unusually small size printed in underglaze blue with the Pinecone pattern c1765

The basket measures 11.9cm diameter and stands 3.5cm deep.

Condition is excellent overall with just one applied rosette missing from the underside of the basket. There are no chips cracks or restoration.

See BFS 11.C.11 for a discussion of this pattern which was extremely popular. The size of this example is most unusual with most baskets in this pattern being 6 inches or larger.
