A rare Lowestoft teabowl and saucer, hand painted in underglaze with a Chinese Garden Scene c1790-95.
The Teabowl measures 8.7cm in diameter and stands 4.7cm tall.
The Saucer measures 13cm in diameter.
Two tiny (sub 1mm) flea bite chips and very minor staining to the rim of the teabowl. Anchor shape crack to the rim of the saucer, possible due to stresses caused by it’s uneven shape. No restoration to either part.
Both Parts are unmarked.
See Steven Goss British blue and White porcelain saucers for this pattern.
