A rare Worcester porcelain teapot and cover, outside decorated with a Scarlett Japan Ground and Mandarin Figures, possibly in the workshop of James Giles 1765-70.
The teapot measures 18.4cm in diameter including the handle and spout, and stands 13.2cm tall.
Displays very nicely. The spout has been professionally replaced and there is a fine crack running from the base and curves upwards towards the spout. The cover has discoloured on the inside, but I can’t find any restoration to it.
Unmarked.
