Out of stock

A Liverpool porcelain teabowl and saucer, decorated with underglaze blue with a long tailed bird in a cartouche pattern c1785-95. Hillis states in his book it is impossible to tell if this pattern was made by John or Seth but is found on porcelain attributed to both of the Brothers. This pattern is usually found with onglaze iron red and is rare in just blue.

The Teabowl measures 8.5cm in diameter and stands 5cm tall. Undamaged, slight staining to the rim.

The Saucer measures 13.7cm in diameter. There are 3 flea bite chips to the rim, and slight staining to the rim.

Both parts are unmarked.
