Rare Monogramed Cornflower Sprigs Pattern Teabowl and Saucer c1785-95

An 18th century Lowestoft soft paste porcelain teabowl and saucer, hand painted with the Cornflower Sprigs pattern and Monogramed with MR in gold c1785-95.

The Teabowl measures 8.5cm in diameter and stands 4.4cm tall. It is in great display condition but has been broken into two and re stuck. There is also a flea bite chip to the foot, and a manufacturing fault to the top of the monogram. There is no other damage or restoration.

The Saucer measures 13cm in diameter. It is also displays well but has three hairline cracks running from the rim. The longest of these is 2.6cm. There are also two chips to the rim, and a small chip to the foot. The largest of these is 1cm in diameter. The paste to the saucer has stained, common on Lowestoft porcelain.
