A rare Longton Hall moulded porcelain plate decorated with wild strawberries, leaves and tendrils to the rim. The centre is decorated with exotic birds in a garden setting c1756-58.
The plate measures 23cm in diameter
Broken into two and stappled, stapples removed and professionally restored.

Strawberry moulded plates are not uncommon, however the are usually decorated to the centre with flowers, examples with chickens and birds are rare.
